Sunny BeachSunny Beach (12km/7.5miles) – the biggest and most visited holiday resort on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. It has a long beach area (8km/5miles), opportunity for practicing many water sports; multiple restaurants, shops, cafes, bars, pubs, night clubs and discotheques, aqua park, carting race track, amusement centers, countless hotels and unique entertainment parks. Its never-stopping vibrant life and unbelievably many ways for relaxing and having fun, it offers, turn it into one of the most desirable places of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. One of the emblematic, for Sunny Beach, places is the restaurant “Khan’s Tent”, located on a hill with a gorgeous panoramic view over the resort itself and the Nessebar coast. “Khan’s Tent” offers to its guests traditional Bulgarian cuisine and authentic surroundings, as well as everyday amusement programs, including national dances and martial arts. St Vlas (16km/10miles) is located north from Sunny Beach. In the last 20 years it has over gone a tremendous change, and now, completely deserved, is often being referred to as “The Pearl of the Bulgarian Riviera”. The unique microclimate, a symbiosis of mountain and sea, typical for the seaside complex “Elenite” as well, is a good starting point for successful medical treatment of lung and bone diseases. The local modern marina, big enough for 300 boats and yachts is often used not only by Bulgarians but by guests from all over Europe. There are boat sightseeing tours and challenges for the tourists and competition events and frigates for the yachtsmen. Around the resort one can come across the remains of many monasteries, one of which had the name St Vlas. This particular monastery had been, many times, set on fire and robbed by pirates, who preferred the shores of the one-time fishermen’s village to divide their loot and prepare themselves for new forays. |
